This is so true. I know so many people who are just waiting for “it” to come to them, not realizing that they have to go get “it”. There are so many outside opportunities outside of your day job, and inside your day job, to build connections and alliances to achieve your ultimate goals. It's all about aligning yourself with the right people and networks to create your own brand.

This was really interesting, Mike. On the other hand, it does make me glad that I never had to work in sales or marketing because this kind of stuff would be so contrary to my nature that I'd probably have a breakdown within weeks!
